PipeFitter
Job Description
As a PipeFitter, you will be making sure that pipes are cut, installed, and maintained as per the required specifications. You will be maintaining all the piping systems and related equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required angles
- Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals and non-metallic materials
- Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures, and equipment
- Connect pipes to fixtures, tanks, and other plumbing equipment
- Assist other workers in the installation of water supply systems and gas lines.
- Inspect and test installed systems and pipelines
- Repair and maintain plumbing by replacing worn and defective parts
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning systems
- Follow applicable safety rules and regulations
- Demonstrate knowledge of the usage and application of tools and equipment used in plumbing
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
- Adhere to established safety procedures
Skill Require
- Proven experience as a pipefitter
- Knowledge of health and safety guidelines when dealing with equipment or chemicals
- Strong communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to work in shifts or overtime if required
