Job Description
As a security guard, you will be responsible for constantly monitoring the activities taking place at a construction site and informing authorities about any suspicious behavior. In the event of encountering a thief, vandal, or trespasser, the security guard will follow established protocols to handle the situation safely and, if needed, request additional support.
Job Responsibilities
- Safeguarding the premises against various risks, including fire, theft, vandalism, and unauthorized entry.
- Grant access only to authorized individuals while keeping a record of their entry and departure times.
- Diligently verify the credentials of anyone present on the construction site who may not be easily identifiable.
- Regularly patrol their assigned areas at predetermined intervals to ensure the overall safety of the site.
- In case of any potential fire hazards, malfunctioning machinery or equipment, utility service interruptions, leaking pipes, or unsecured security doors, you will promptly report these issues to their Lead Hand.
- Issue passes to visitors and provide them with appropriate directions to their intended destinations within the site.
- Diligently observe windows, doors, gates, equipment, and machinery to ensure that they are properly secured.
- Perform regular checks on alarms, fire extinguishers, and other fire control systems to confirm that they are correctly set and ready for operation.
- Contribute significantly to maintaining a safe and secure environment at construction sites.
